Processing Patterns

Processing parts involves grouping the patterns into logical cutting paths. You want to specify a Joint Tolerance in the Cutting Options panel of the Preferences window. When you activate Sheet view after drawing the part, the system automatically processes the sheet to join the patterns that should be considered one path. If you add other patterns, you may need to reprocess the part or manually join the paths.

With the Process Part option, the user may also auto-assign cutouts to notches. See Notch Cut Out Range in the Sequence Features>Perimeter Notch Relief page.

Note: Processing resets the cutting sequence for the selected part and its copies, or resets the sequence for the entire sheet. It is better to Manually Join Paths if you do not want to reset the cutting sequence.

Note: The Spline Pattern Processing enhancement allows imported dxf/dwg files containing complicated splines to be stably converted into prt files in the AP100US program. In addition to conversion, this feature may reduce processing time.

Process Part

To process one part, select Process Part from the Process submenu, found on the Cut Sequence menu. If Part view is active, a warning informs you that the processing resets the cutting sequence for the selected part and any copies of the part. Press any key to continue and wait until the system processes the part.

If Sheet view is active, the system asks you to select the part to process. Move the pointer over the desired part and click the left mouse button to select it. A warning informs you that processing resets the cutting sequence for the selected part and any copies of the part. Press any key to continue and wait until the system processes the part.

Process Sheet

To process the patterns on the entire sheet, you must first activate Sheet view. Select Process Sheet from the Process submenu, found on the Cut Sequence menu. A warning informs you that processing resets the cutting sequence for the selected part and any copies of the part. Press any key to continue and wait until the system processes the sheet.
