Starting Subroutines with Shearing Tools

For shearing around individual parts, follow the same procedure for patterns inside the part. The procedure differs slightly for shearing around parts with a punch consisting of a width that equals the spacing between parts. Begin by selecting Start Subroutines and, remembering when the last group ended, choose the shear line closest to the edge of the sheet.

Select either Grid X or Grid Y to specify the direction for the grid according to the direction of the line.

When the system completes the grid, the parts on the far side of the sheet will have one unsheared side. Use the Add option to manually select these lines. Repeat the process to sequence the shear lines in the other direction. Select Start Subroutines, choose the line, select Grid X or Grid Y, and manually sequence the remaining lines on the far side of the grid.
