Normally the system attempts to sequence and punch inner patterns before punching part perimeters as this is usually the most efficient sequence possible. However, the user can force the system to punch a specific outside pattern within the sequence using Flag Last Pattern to Punch.
When an outside pattern is selected and flagged as the last pattern to punch, the tool assigned to the flagged pattern will punch the inside patterns first and then the outside pattern. The other tools will punch the remaining patterns according to the shortest distance from the pattern flagged as last.
Select Flag Last Pattern to Punch, move the cursor “x” over the outer perimeter to highlight it and click to assign the flag. This option allows you to view all patterns having the Flag Last Pattern to Punch sequence attribute assigned to them.
To view any flags on part perimeters, select View All Flag Patterns to show flagged patterns in red. Right-click a perimeter to remove a flag.
Notes: If the outside pattern of a part already has a flag, you must remove that flag before you can flag a different pattern.
The system will not allow a flag to be assigned to inside patterns or to un-tooled patterns.
