First specify the Final Hit or Final Cut in Part View before using the TK or PR function. Select Place Final Hit or Place Final Cut from the submenu to set the final hit or cut.
Select Final Hit from the submenu. Move into the work area and select an element (such as a line) of a part. A small circle will appear on the pattern to indicate the location of the final hit. Move the circle to the desired destination location and click the left mouse button to accept it.
Note: You can only assign a final hit or final cut to the part boundary.
The final cut is different depending on the type of path: closed or open.

Click one line of a part and if the pattern is on the closed path, the pattern will accept the Final Cut. A small circle will appear on the line to the end point that is closest to the cursor. Move the cursor to select the appropriate end point and click the left mouse button to confirm. You can also right-click to cancel the operation. After selecting the end point, the path will start from it and move along another pattern that is next to the line.
Click one segment of a part in Sheet mode. If the pattern is on the open path, the final pattern of the path will be the Last Cut.
The system has a default final hit/final cut for both punching and cutting. See Tooling and Cutting.
For a punching machine, the segment in the bottom left corner of the part boundary or the segment that is closest to the bottom left corner will be defined as the Final Hit pattern.
The system will calculate the distance between each end point and the bottom left corner. The system will accept the segment if its end point has a shorter distance to the bottom left corner than the remaining patterns. If the two distances are equal, the system will use the segment having a center point Y coordinate that is less than that of the other line.
For a cutting machine, the path of the Last Cut is on the part boundary. The segment on the bottom left corner of the part boundary or the boundary closest to the bottom left corner will be defined as the Final Cut pattern. The system will calculate the distance between each end point and the bottom left corner. The system will accept the segment if its end point has a shorter distance to the bottom left corner that the remaining patterns. If the two distances are equal, the system will use the segment with a center point X coordinate that is less than that of the other line.
The Cutting Path starts from the end point closest to the bottom left corner and travels along the pattern next to the Final Cut pattern. If the Cutting Path is an Open Path, the end point of the segment closest to the bottom left corner will be defined as the Final Cut point. The end point belonging to the segment will be defined as the Final Pattern.
