Ellipse

The Ellipse option allows you to create an elliptical shape as a set of three-point arc patterns. You must specify the center point coordinates, length, width and angle for the ellipse pattern.

Notes:

Round tools are used to nibble ellipse patterns around the contour of the pattern. If you use the auto-tooling feature, the software will use a round having a diameter that can punch the end radii with a single hit.

If the software cannot find a matching round tool, it will use the value specified for the Best Nibble Tool (Preferences dialog box, Tool Assignment). You can use the Round Punch-out option on the Tool menu to remove the slug from the center of the ellipse. Note: To precisely position patterns try the Coordinates feature in the Draw menu.
