The Basic Calculator provides four arithmetic functions: addition (+), subtraction (-), multiplication (*) and division (/). You can use the Basic Calculator functions in any window or text box where you usually type coordinates.

To add 3.5 and 4.5, type 3.5+4.5 |
Subtraction |
To subtract 3 from 4, type 4-3. |
Multiplication |
To multiply 2 by 6, type 2*6. |
Division |
To divide 1 by 2, type 1/2. |
If you require advanced calculator functions, press <C> to activate the Dynamic Calculator. The Dynamic Calculator is available when the Cursor Control window appears.
When you press <C>, the Dynamic Calculator appears in the message window. The Dynamic Calculator provides sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, ^, pi and parenthesis functions, and includes the basic calculator functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. When you press <Enter>, the solution to the equation appears in the Cursor Control Pane within the Output window.
